1 T high-lift AGV for pallet handling in frozen goods storage
Challenge
The building of a new 10 m high frozen goods storage led to the need for a handling system to transport frozen meat products on EUR or FIN pallets inside the -20 degree cold storage.
Solution
Automation of the high bay storage was the smoothest solution, which also turned out to be competitive. The AGV drives only forwards and backwards between the storage racks placed very close to each other. At the right position between the racks, the AGV forks project sideways and the pallets can be handled to and from the shelves.
The installation of the AGV also means that personnel resources can be used for other tasks instead.
