Objective

ScanRope opened a new factory for the production of large spiral strand mooring lines. The company aimed at transporting the steel drums during production with flexibility and precision.

Construction

The equipment consists of a radio remote-controlled air film transporter including load pallets. As the air film transporter is radio remote-controlled, one operator can easily supervise and control the movement with great precision and safety. The transporter is also equipped with a ”deadman” emergency control.

Result

The radio remote-controlled air film transporter moving in all directions. Remote controls enable the operator to move freely around the large load to ensure safe and accurate movement. Thus, the drums can be optimally stored within the limited floor space.
