Objective

ABB aimed at developing a functional and flexible handling concept for handling active parts. In their planning of a new production line for transformers designed to meet future environmental demands, ABB considered a clean and dust free environment as an important criterion.

Advantages

Thanks to the onboard batteries, the Mover is completely independent of hoses and cables. In addition, the Mover is capable of driving long distances, over joints in the floor and into the vacuum oven with ease and precision.

Result

The electric wheeled Mover provides all the necessary freedom and flexibility for handling pallets carrying a winding or a core. Thanks to the Mover, dust on the floor does not blow up and the environmental demands can thus be met.
