Forklift AGV

Learn about forklift AGVs in this AGV dictionary article.

What is a Forklift AGV?

A Forklift AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) is an AGV used to automate the work done by a forklift and driver.
The forklift AGV uses its forks to pick up the pallet or whatever object it is handling and then navigates to the correct position within the facilities to unload.

The primary benefits forklift AGVs add are the ability to work continuously and more efficiently. By automating these often repetitive tasks the workforce can be used elswhere. The vertical lifting possibilities offered with a forklift AGV makes it very versatile compared to tugger AGVs and other not as high lifting AGVs.
